I have a great need for natural hair miniature brushes, in the 0-2 range. I've been spoiled the last few years on the Winsor Newton Series 7 sable brushes. I have run mine into the ground, and need new natural detail brushes. What is a good replacement for these brushes, as they seem impossible to find anymore?

W&N are far from impossible to find, I got mine from the UK

There was another thread the other day about great brushes, specifically Rosemary and Co - it is literally on the front page

I just did a search on amazon.com with the words "winsor newton series 7" and found quite a few sellers in the US.

I recommend the "da vinci -maestro" series with real tobolsky - kolinsky hair. I've been painting since 2 years with them and they are still as good as new.

Yeah all good here for brushes (UK)
Windsor and Newton and Rosemary & Co are both produced here. Both get my reccomendations. R&C being my fav based on value; theyre actually not as good.. id say 95% as good as the w&n s7's but half the price. So buy two.

Edit;
The difference (to me) is most noticable in the spring of the bristles. Windsor and newton brushes (the ones I have atleast) win it by a touch.. but are very similar in all other respects. The two products are indeed rather close together in terms of quality, only one is rather a lot cheaper and made by a small business up north compared to the people who the Queen commissions for her brushes (Series 7 is named as such because of the Queen of Englands favor of a size 7 for her water colouring... her's had ivory handles and gold ferrules though.. pimpin!)

Go onto amazon and buy some master brush cleaner and preserver and use it a lot you should find the brushes last 10 times longer when looked after well. I have some brushes that are close to 20 years old and they are still fine and that little tub of brush cleaner was given to me by a friend with probably half used and I still have it now.
Killing a series 7 in 2 years is harsh !! You will probably find a good brush soap and conditioner will help them a heck of a lot.
Speaking of brushes when did gw stop making good ones? They used to be very good, long lasting pure sable and a got a few free with a paint restock a couple of weeks ago and I'm not very impressed.
