Alright so was asked by my brother to do a game that was spread over 2 days Where my chaos army were pitted against his Astra Militarum (AKA Imperial Guard) army, here was the army roster for both sides.

With the army list being told, one single large scenery piece was place in the middle of the area (splitting the battle ground into three areas, Right Flank zone, Ruins & Left Flank Zone).

On the right was the Dark Angels with Librarian along with the Guard's two Sentinels covering them to keep the 20 Cultists being led by the Sorcerer.
In the central ruins zone, the Guard squad along with their Primaris Psyker, Commissar & heavy weapon as they decide to lay claim to the ruins, but seen on the other side the Chaos forces of the Chosen, Hellbrute & the three terminators.
Finally on the Left flank zone, lays the Guards Command squad leading behind their squad of Guardsmen, being led by the Ministratum Priest & the Lord Commissar himself, prepared to face off against the Chaos Marines and their leader the Terminator Lord...

The battle set and all prepared.... What will happen against these two forces...

Alright so can start this off with some images now.

So the centre of the battle field is the ruins of an old large building that had being badly damaged by a larger blast weapon during the main attacks.






At both sides of the ruins, are the two armies that are kept fighting in the area, the Astra Militarum Vs the Chaos Space Marine Army. Here are what the Chaos are using to force through.








This force seeming to wait for their Warlord, the Terminator Lord to give word to strike and consume the enemy, seeing the Astra Militarum forces have being preparing, but have being given reinforcements by an Dark Angel squad and Librarian.









So both armies shown and talked, here is how their grand sizes are from birds eye view being Astra Militarum /w Dark Angel ally on Left side and the Chaos on the Right side.

Armies that are just at 900 points or slightly under present and ready. See later just in how their combat and fight went.

Aye just awaiting for my brother as me and him are writing the battle report for key moments. As he is the better writer out of me and him so everyone can understand what being said lol

Not very much terrain, surely rthe guard will suffer badly vs marine bolters etc. Las guns are not as powerful

Aye, the terrain is being built over time that was a centre piece section hoping to get more done over the time in months.

Hoping for all for battle report to be ready to put up here in extreme near future (so Today or tomorrow), had bit of bother with time keeping for other things needed doing and now got time to focus on that.

Cpukld always use anything, fruit, books, re emotes, just somthing to block los as otherwise guard may suffer if mounting a assult with no cover and fire all the way to the breach

Not mall nicely painted n bit ad hoc but it would be a tempery fix to the battle for the emperors device tabletop :-)

Aye will keep that in mind for them kind of subs for cover and terrain wise for future matches.

Also once done Dark Eldar and my current Blog, making more cover based things such as barricades and thing like that to make it look more battle field like (just we focused more on painting then scenery at moment)

Alright folks here is the entire Battle Report of the entire match. Photos of key moments will emerge when all models are found again (majority put away or moved to unknown location in house lol)

Turn 1) Both sides advance on all fronts in attempt to find defensive positions and firing zones. The Imperial Guards score a couple of lucky kills against the Warlord lead Chaos Space Marine squad on the right flank. Imperial Guard Psykers are also successful in Enfeebling and () against the Chaos Space Marines and Chosen squad.

Turn 2) Imperial Guard central unit, lead by the Primaris Psyker enters the central ruins. The Chaos Hellbrute also enters the ruins after receiving a wound from a Sentinel Auto cannon. The Hellbrute Charges the Guardsmen unit and issues a challenge (legal?) to the Psyker which is accepted. The fight ends with no wounds on either side. Chaos Chosen also enter the ruins.
Imperial Guardsmen on the right flank take heavy casualties from the CSM bolt guns but pass their moral check thanks to the presence of the Lord Commissar. Guardsmen kill a single Chaos Marine.
Space Marines advance on left flank and suffer one casualty, but score multiple wounds on the Chaos cultists.

Turn 3) Space Marines and Sentinels move towards the Cultists. Librarian used Spontaneous combustion, killing four Cultists in the blast. Space Marines charge the cultists and the Librarian challenges the Sorcerer, which is accepted. Sorcerer kills Librarian with Force hit; Marines fail the moral check and are killed in the Sweeping advance, securing the left flank for Chaos.
In the second round of fighting the Primaris Psyker suffers a wound, but manages to kill the Hellbrute with his force staff.
Constant Boltgun fire whittles down the Right flank to only the Lord Commissar himself, with a single wound.

Turn 4) Imperial Guard Company Command Squad joins Lord Commissar and secures the right flank, Chaos Chosen charge Imperial guard squad in ruins, no casualties in either shooting phase or over watch. Guardsman suffers near total casualties, excluding a couple of guardsmen and Commissar. Right flanks suffer heavy casualties due to Bolter fire.
Turn 5) Imperial Guardsmen in ruins destroyed, all troops on right flank killed except Company commander, lord commissar and heavy flamer. Last ditch charge into ruins successful. Are all massacred by Chaos Chosen.
