I'm sure this is discussed often.

Reading the rules for grav weapons. We know a result of 6 leads to an immobilized effect.
When you look in the digital rule book you see that the immobilized effect is highlighted and offers an explanation.

Basically chariots suffer a crew stunned result. Zooming flyers have to roll on a separate D6 and follow those rules. OTHER VEHICLES are immobilized.

Now, regarding Super heavys. The damage they incurr is catagorized by what they suffer or don't from the vehicle damage chart. Results of 1-6 are ignored but still suffer a hull point as usual. Just not the extra damage effects FROM the vehicle damage table.

Are we just to assume they mean grav guns too? Or are these rules contradicting each other? Is there anywhere this is actually explained?

grav guns simply strip a hull point on a 6, superheavies ignore the immobilised result.

Yeah super heavies dont give a rats arse whether it comes from the vehicle damage chart or from any other effect.

They just ignore all results other than explodes, and instead only loose a D3 hull points on an explodes.
