Subject: How to use out-of-date models in WH40K games without getting too far out?

So, recently I have acquired 6 Space Slann and 3 Saharduin Piscean Warriors, I haven't painted them yet, but I would like to incorporate them into an army once I do. I have an Imperial guard army right now, but am willing to buy a new one if I can use these guys in it.
Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can use these guys? I would prefer it to be somewhat believeable (aka not using them as Ogryn).
I will also ask for painting advice in the right forum but if you have any scheme ideas now I am always open, I don't even have a clue what I am doing yet.

Could you post pictures? I'm not sure what these models are like, which could influence ideas.

They look like these?
Possessed. Mutants. Kroot. Chaos Cultists. Genestealer Cultists. Tau alien mercenaries. Inquisitorial warband members (especially Jokaero or Warrior Acolytes). Sslyth (Piscean).
Great models. Good find! I'd love to get my hands on a Piscean, especially if the Sslyth wind up being useful someday.

Ya those are the guys. I like the Inquisition idea. They have lots of good retinue options that are accomodating of oddities like these guys.

just use them as guardsmen. There is a classified Reptilian Guard regiment. Just use them like abhumans (spread among regiments). They should fit in fine.

Could always use them in a DE retinue thingy(court of the archon?) That or like people said, Inquisitors can have all sorts of random henchmen in their retinue.

I've some Adeptus Arbites like these dudes http://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com/2014/01/evolution-of-force-adeptus-arbites.html
They've bolters, shotguns, and a grenade launcher.
What can they be used as? Any Space Marine allies?

You could use them in a Inquisitorial Retinue. They would also fit quite nice fluffwise.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too! |
