Hey chaps. I painted this Space Puppies fly-a-mabob a wee bit ago. The rest of the pics seem to be eluding me at the moment, but I'll add them when they show up.

The client wanted a clean look, with only very slight weathering(not sure it really shows in the pic, theres a bit of sponge weathering on some edges etc.)

Nice looking craft, even if it fluff-wise is a monstrosity Space puppies hate flyers for anything but intergalactic travel.

Yeah I seem to recall a quote somewhere that spacewolves should keep their feet on the ground. That being said, I seem to remember in the Ragnar Blackmane books him mentioning he'd like to be a Thunderhawk pilot, so I guess some of them aren't so averse to flying. Either way, thanks for the comment.

yeah, the Wolves use Thunderhawks, and like flying them...
there is a character in Wolves of Asaheim who is the dedicated pilot of his Grey Hunters pack...
he seemed to enjoy himself...

paintjob looks good...

Great Job! How difficult was it to build? I heard those are extremely tough models to build.

Ragnar Blackmane when he joined the up originally thought he'd be a Thunderhawk Pilot.

This "Space Wolves hate fliers" thing seems damn silly to me. They aren't afraid of anything.

They only hate teleporters

Looks cool

Was it as hard to put together as they say? Its the only thing putting me off getting a couple.

They don't hate fliers, they dont trust teleporters.

They also laugh at BloodClaws and their jump packs not having the good sense to fight with two feet on the ground.

I built one recently and it was an absolute nightmare, so much so that I've reconsidered buying another FW vehicle any time soon. The sides of the fuselage were bent to ffifty degree angles, any part that needed to be straight required extensive bending, even when assembled there were a lot of gaps that needed to be filled extensively with green stuff. It wasn't my first FW purchase so I knew what to expect when working with FW resin but my God this beast is unholy, after opening the bag and seeing the extent of warpage and the three hours I spent trying to repair it it spent three weeks on my desk before I finally got around to finishing it, I'm glad I bought it but I would never, ever, ever buy another one (except maybe a Fire Raptor).

However it's absolutely beautiful when finished and looks incredible, my only complaint with the final result is that the sot for the flying stand is about an inch deep and it really doesn't rest securely. Overall it's not a mini I would recommend to an amateur, I've been in the hobby for nearly four years and I loathed every second assembling the fuselage/cockpit but no where near as much as putting the rear door on. In it's defence, assembling the wings was really cool.

I can answer any other questions you have regarding it if you like.

They hate to teleport even more. This is something that they'd probably have, albeit in fluff would be a very rare unit for them to use.

Although it caused you grief to build, it was worth the extra effort you put in to the prep. Looks great, good work.
