I have the 6th and 7th edition BRB and I cannot find anywhere in them that indicates that the special rules of a CCW applies to all attacks by the model. The specific item that piqued my interest was the Genestealer with Rending Claws (AP5, Rending) and Scything Talons (AP 6, no special rules). Baseline Genestealers get two attacks, add in the Scything Talons and the Genestealer gets +1 attack. For good measure, lets say the Genestealer is charging, so an additional +1 attack. Would that result in four AP5, Rending attacks per model?

Searching here and the interwebs, I find continual references to a rule on "Page 42 of the BRB" that states that using a special rule CCW and a regular CCW grants +1 attack with the special rule in effect. Based on the dates of these posts, this seems to be referencing the 5th edition BRB. Is there an entry in the 7th edition BRB that states this as well? I am using the ebook version of the 7th edition, so "page numbers" don't exist for me. If there is an entry that states this, please let me know the section or text.

Thanks,

Lynkon

Weapons section, More than one Weapon sub-section 2nd sentence Is what you are looking for. (The sentence starts with: If a model has more than one Melee weapon...).

Thanks. I saw that one, but I assumed there we be something more clearly stating that all attacks use the special rules of the chosen weapon. All the references to the "Page 42" rule seemed to indicate it stated it clearly. With all the arguments related to what "thrown" means in reference to the number of grenades that can be used in melee, I would think there would be arguments about this too.

Thanks again.
