Thread documenting the building of my 40k Orks.

New book, new giant model. And I'm not spending 65 quid on it, so I built my own from an old, unused Vindicator, plasticard, and various Bitz. The head is a paint pot.

That totally works. And is in the fine orkish tradition of building your own vehicles. Looking forward to painted/WIP pics.

Love everything except for the fingers on the claw. They just seem not very "Orky" in their appearance.

I'd been thinking of scratch-building my own, but for some reason converting a LR hadn't occurred to me - as I have most of a LR lying around in bits, I should definitely give this a try.

Nice job, but personally I'd make the big gunz a little shorter, and yeah, the klaw fingers don't look quite right to me either.

Awesome. So happy to see one of these already. One of the first things I thought of when I saw the 'naut model was how I could make one more cheaply with a rhino hull. Obviously great 'finkers 'fink da same an' dat makes us blokes da greatest!

So it is - I was fooled by the extra armour and didn't look closely enough. Well, _my_ version will use a Land Raider

Yes it's a Rhino hull - I used an old Vindicator. Thanks for the compliments and I've taken the criticisms into account - I may do a replacement Klaw in the future.

Second attempt at the Klaw on the 'naut.

Gorkonaut looks great and so do the boyz, I really like the weathering you've done. The cybork bits on the nob are well done too, the face is brilliant and the terminator shoulder works perfectly.
