We have earthquakes like every 15 minutes haha. Within the last 14 minutes we have had 3 ranging from 3.5-4.1

There are only some level one alerts waaay out by the islands and oddly enough a minor Volcano warning in the mainland.

The magnitude doesn't mean much though.

For example the 3.5 was very near the surface and was felt but the 4.1 was 30K under ground and hardly felt (if at all) and the location was around 40 minutes from my house.

Since the tsunami warning was issued im sure it was closer to the surface.

It depends a lot on the quake's focus and the type of earthquake itself.

If it's a quake that's produced by the simply friction of the North American & Pacific plates grinding past each other, you have less risk of a large tsunami than you would in for example a subduction caused quake.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Apparently the British Isles is the most geologically stable inhabited place on earth, and Ireland being the nation with the lowest seismic readings worldwide.

There is a minor fault running along the Anglo-Welsh border which can cause occasional deep tremors as high as factor 4, which to us is big. That is as bad as it gets nationwide, there is no such thing as earthquake insurance in the UK or Ireland, and its generally rare in Europe.

My family lives in Shrewsbury which is pretty much right on the fault line and the epicentre of UK quakes. Last noticable quake was over ten years ago, it rattled loose doors, moved paintings hung on walls askew and apparently cracked a window pane somewhere in town. That made the news.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
