So I am looking to paint a new necron army, and am looking for a semi-original color scheme. As we all know the main part of the necron warrior (and scythe) design would be the clear plastic rods. But i have been fighting myself for about a week whether to go basic green or a dark blue and orange theme or any other possibilities.

So basically what rod color would be the most interesting to play against and what paint colors would you suggest to correspond.

I do never seen a violet or yellow. But many red, green and a few blue. Personally thnk red is coolest, green fluffiest but blue good is you are planning lots of plasma like osl elsewhere...

I was kinda thinking about violet for a while. I may possibly do a color pallet that works for blue and purple and maybe try switching rods??

My necrons have red/orange glow - I like it better than the default green.
