- Is there a rule against having multiple units that can infiltrate in 7th edition? I haven't seen anything to say that there is.

Could I hypothetically have an entire army that is infiltrating? Or does a certain number of units HAVE to be deployed first.

-Has anyone done the math on the Imperial Fists Bolter re-rolls special rule? I'm thinking about coming back to 40k and making an army of them, but I was curious how strong this actually is.

For example, BS4 rerolling on 1's, vs BS3 rerolling 1's, what's the percentage to hit for each? Sorry if this is a goofy question, but it's very important to me.

Also, is there any supplement for playing pre-heresey Space Marines in 7th edition? I'd really like to paint Emperor's Children or Death Guard, but would rather not use C:SM if I can help it, although I know it's not bad.

Thank you so much.

1) No such rule exists, so yes you can have an entirely infiltrating army. However note that an IC without Infiltrate has no way to infiltrate alongside a unit they want to join (as the IC must be deployed on the table before the infiltrating unit can be), so that may mess you up. Fine to join in reserves and Outflank though
2) erm not explicitly that I'm aware of, but its fairly easy

(4/6+(1/6*4/6)) is your BS4 example. FOr BS3 simply replace 4/6 with 3/6. Probabilty of just hitting added to the probabilty of getting a 1 on the first roll and subsequently hitting.

No supplements, howevr the *excellent* Horus Heresy books from FOrgeworld give you all of that. You do NOT need the huge tomes to simply play the armies, although they are absolutely stunning - all you need are the Red Books which provide rules for, from memory, 10 SM armies, mechanicum as well, and includes DG, Emperors children and your primarchs.

Thank you so much Nos,

Are the Red Books officially allowed in tournaments and such? I know GW used to publish a bunch of stuff in White Dwarf and other supplemental's but it wasn't considered canon unless stated as such.

And I'm so horrible with math, I can't even do that little arithmetic you listed. I'm seeing one as 68% and one as 68% chance to land a hit? Is this correct? Sorry, and thank you so much for the help.

You will need to talk to your Tournament Organizer on their usage. The Horus Heresy is a separate game system (Built on 40k 6th Ed) so while it nominally works together with 40k, it was more focused on balancing the various Legion and Mechanicus armies rather than putting them up against Eldar/Tau etc.
With the Legions you will find that they pay more for units with Stubborn or morale affecting rules than 40k as there are no units with ATSKNF which in a game with 90% Space Marines, it would render morale a null issue.

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

AS with every Tournament, as your TO. A lot more are accepting of Heresy armies however, as they are reasonably well balanced, and can struggle against Xenos (the lack of ATSKNF is a crippling thing)

FOr BS4 it works out as 6/9+1/9 (chance to hit, plus chance that the reroll will occur and give you a hit) so 7/9. or ~77%
For BS3 you get 6/12+1/12, so 7/12 or about 58%
