Just this afternoon, I painted my second miniature. Keep in mind that I have painted it fully assembled, as it was a freebie. I'm still waiting for my glue to come in the mail.

Can't see much from those pics - you will need something with a macro function to capture it fully. Any modern smartphone will do for a basic job, it is just a matter of adjusting for light and white balance, and probably playing around with the depth of field. You'll also need to avoid taking pics in direct sunlight, it washes out your pics and creates unnecessary shadow.

From what is actually visible, it seems that you've achieved a fairly smooth basecoat, but the blending needs to be improved - it is particularly splotchy on the shoulder pads, for example.

You may also want to investigate pushing contrasts. This is a habit which may seem counterintuitive and very hard to achieve, yet is a necessity that is best pushed from the start.

I haven't learned about blending yet. Thanks for the tip! Anyway, this was only done with a few minimal colors. I only had about 11 citadel paint pots.
