The rules for psychic powers state that each psyker generates his powers before the game. The warlock detachments of 1 to 10 warlocks can join any unit after warlord traits are rolled. Can i roll for ten warlocka and then assign them to the unit that benefits most from the power they roll?

Yes. This is a change in timing from 6th edition, wher eyou had to assign them before rolling for powers.

It depends... Psychic Powers and Warlord Traits are both done at the same time. And according to the BRB things that happen at the same time but don't happen on a players turn, the players get to roll off and choose which happens first. So if you want to roll psychic powers before warlord traits (and thus before you split), then it depends on your opponent. Either they will let you do it (probably because they are doing something similar), or they won't want you to, in which case you roll off. If you win you get to do them in that order, if you lose then warlord traits are first, then seperation, then Psychic Powers.

Huh, I thought they removed that but apparently not.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
