While it is a good House Rule, there is already Rules for discarding cards at the end of the Turn is there not?

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

I feel like having one of those helps me focus on other achievable objectives or denying my opponent any.

Keeping the impossible objective fits with "forging the narrative"

I love maelstrom and find it can make for very interesting games.

However it feels bad if either player draws a "harness the warp" card and they're playing tau, or "destroy a flyer" card when the opponent has no fliers.

Just allowing it to be discarded makes sense imo.

I like it a lot. Having all your objectives be achievable means you have more tactical choices to choose from in your turn ("well he's got no flyers so I guess I've just got to hold objective 6"). It also means you have to make slightly harder choices about which card to discard.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Remove objectives that are impossible to achieve right from the start "cast psychic powers" buh necrons?

Personally I'd also like to standardize the D3 VP gak to just 2. Lololol I got 6 VP from 2 objectives hue
