So with a transport capacity of 6 I was wondering what Dakka folks think is the best unit to put inside the Morkanaut?

First thing that comes to mind is 3 MANz, but I have always been more partial to the burna boyz. The lack of firing points is kind of a big knock, but after jumping out even just 6 burnaz will take out a good chunk of the hordes that might tarpit the 'naut.
Being one of the few Ork transports that is not an assault vehicle (not open-topped), you lose a lot of effectiveness from the slower Mega-Armor, who REALLY want to be in combat even more than any other ork boy.
But maybe the rest of the codex will offer us some insights once we've had a few weeks with it. It sounds like tankbustas have had some significant changes, both good and bad. Like most of the Ork codex it depends on your play style and how fun you want it to be because lets face it: we are probably not ever going to be the most competitive race out there.

Nothing would probably be the best answer.
Most ork units are either to large to fit in, to shooty to hide or want to assault, but can't. A unit of five burnaz is an 80 point investment on top of an already expensive model, which might never be used.
I'd just use the transport capacity if the opportunity arises to, for example, hide away a unit about to die, just to leave them somewhere on an objective later during the game.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

If I field one I am thinking 3 Meks in a Burna Unit will make him nearly unkillable. Plus 2 or 3 Templatea before assults should help speed things along.
All theoreticle.
Still not sure if he will do enough for his cost. ::THUMP:: BIGGA IS BETTA!!
