Hey guys, just a list that i plan on making and then expanding in 250 point increments. I have already bought the 2 rhinos, 2 tactical squads, the sternguard and drop pod so they are i would like to include them in the list. They are all unmade currently so i have flexibility with their load-outs.

What sort of opponents would your army likely see?

Thanks for replying brometheus, generally quite a mix of armies so I am trying to keep it TAC, but I'd obviously like to win from time to time
The only concern I have is it might be slightly thin on troops, so I wasn't sure whether to swap the 5 man assault squad for maybe sniper scouts or outflanking bolter scouts?

Hm. I'm not sure if trading the assault marines for the scouts would actually be good or bad. I think it'd be "meh". Try this list out, I think it has potential. The Stormraven would give me a hard time at this level.

I think it looks good. Just remember to not shoot yourself out of charge range with the Flamers.

I would put one of the assault squads in a rhino instead of with jump packs (so they can scout up like the tac squads), and exchange the other for a land speeder storm with some bolter scouts. The captain can still keep his pack but just deploy in the raven for a later game assault.

@brometheus - thanks for the advice, yeah i like the stormraven in terms of rules and how the model looks so had to include it, also very RG.
@Feasible - good pointer i probably would of made that mistake if you hadn't pointed that out.
@The Clincher - Thank you for the ideas, i want to keep the 10 man squad using jump packs to take advantage of all of the RG tactics, i know that they are a pretty mediocre unit, but i like them. The 5 man unit however, i am undecided on, i will see how useful they are in my first few games and make adjustments
