Enemy models in the same squad block LoS to other models in the squad.
So, If there are no visible models then the wound pool empties.
If none of the firing models can draw a line of sight to a particular model in the target unit, then Wounds cannot be allocated to it.
.
This will hold true to LoS for other purposes besides shooting.
.
So put all your special models behind another model.
.

.
Thanks

And that first model dies, opening up LoS to the next model...
What's your point?

What about in the case of Precision Shots? Would intervening models from the same unit provide cover in that case? Doesn't feel right to me.

Seems to be right - if a model is blocked by another model in the same unit and can't be seen, then a wound cannot be allocated to it. Just note that the target model won't get a cover save from intervening models if it turns out he can actually be seen.
I can't really see it coming up very often, though!

Yeah, the chances of an intervening model completely blocking LOS to another model in the same unit are fairly slim.

Not true, there are many mixed size units out there; TAU Drones are blocked by Suits, etc. remember "head and shoulders" is 6e.

Jimsolo, I read the wrong Special Rule, sorry, the correct Rule already requires Line of Sight from the firing Model as part of the Precision shot resolution.... Stupid me reading Precision strike, this is why I review what I posted four or five times after posting it....

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures. |
