So i've been collecting tau for a few months now and have a medium sized force of:
1 Battlesuit commander
1 Firewarrior squad
1 Pathfinder squad
1 Crisis battlesuit team
1 Hammerhead
1 Piranha
1 Stealth suit team
1 Kroot squad
1 Riptide

So i was wondering what should i get next?

I would get Fire Warriors. Lay down strong firebase before you add any of the fun gak to your lists.

I agree with this^ and it depends if you're going for a om petition or fun build. For competitive I would take another rip tide, more fire warriors and some devilfish for scoring as well as at least one piranha with fusion blaster. For fun I'd go with whatever you like the look of!

I agree, you need more Firewarriors.

But its time to start picking up more vehicles. Devilfish and Hammerheads... and Broadsides.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

Disagree about getting Devilfish. Expensive and I rarely see them ever get use.

Skyrays are the way to go for filling HS slots. Cheap, durable, and decent support tanks.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

Depends on your style of play, and your Meta. If you do a pure gunline, you can probably get by without Devilfish. But if you want a more mobile force, their a must. They also do a good job protecting your firewarriors from large blasts that will make big nasty holes in your line..

Depending on the type of list you want to run, though getting some broadsides and firewarriors certainly can't hurt. What type of armies and lists do you often go against?

Im usaully playing against orks or eldar. The eldar army is very tank heavy.

Lots of AV 12 are good for our missile dudes. Crisis with Missile Pods and Broadsides with HYMP are wonderful against them. Fusion Blaster Crisis are good as well, except against those pesky Serpent Shields.

Against Eldar, Markerlights for Ignore Cover is tantamount to defeat them. Be sure to have them in good number. Focus your firing, because Eldar have great firepower! Trying to kill units slowly isn't a good tactic, in my experience.

For orks... Fire Warriors! S5 AP5 is enough to deal with the massed boys. Missile Pods/HYMP against their vehicles (Gorka/Morkanauts could require Fusion Blasters). Agianst Orks, Suppressing Fire shines

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

I recommend Fire Warriors and another unit of Pathfinders. With 7th ed making vehicles not quite so explodie, I would get a Hammerhead, but leave the turret loose and get bits to use it as a Devilfish or Skyray for flexibility. I have two Devilfish myself and a Hammerhead conversion for one depending on what I need.
Thanks,
