The chart is nice, but not entirely accurate. Some of the old colors just don't exist anymore, the chart gives their closest replacement but it isn't always exactly the same. If you need that exact color you'll have to look for a non-GW alternative (which someone with better knowledge might be able to provide), or try to ebay some more of the old paints.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Like Peregrine says, the Vallejo Game Colour line is basically an exact match for the old GW range. The Dakka paint range conversion chart shows the matching colours from each range. ie. to match those colours you'd get:
Heavy Charcoal (155) for Charadon Granite
Hot Orange (009) for Blazing Orange.

The badab black wash however, washes are different. I'd recommend getting the new GW Nuln Oil which is their replacement for the Badab Black wash. It has different flow characteristics and though it's expensive... it's really good. The Vallejo black wash by comparison is much mroe densely pigmented and will leave too much pigment on the surface, defeating the purpose of the wash which is to shade the recesses.

The Vallejo Game Colour pamphlet also shows their recommendations.

cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'
