hi everyone i realy need some feed back on these orks. do i do them to the stage of the nob, ie gameing standard or do i go and add weathering and gore from the gw tecnical range, im not sure if its way over the top for them or if its a stroke of genious. i kinda get the feeling that ive them up a little.

I wouldn't say you've messed them up at all. They look good as is. If I were to take it to the next level, I'd highlight them, starting with their skin. After that, some more weathering would do well.

If you really don't care for their paint job save yourself the money and just throw them into the paint stripper. Its a lot cheaper than buy 2 more boxes of boys.

I'd say add some highlights to the green and blue. Take a lighter shade of the colour and dry-brush on top.

As for the blood effect, I would search for a tutorial. There's bound to be one or two of them for blood effects.

First of all, you cant really up an ork! Second, its easy to overuse a technique. If you feel like you used too much blood, black some out and repaint some silver. Simetimes prodject just take longer than we'd like to get em right. (See my forgefiend for proof on that)

they are in the bin!!!!! lessons learned. less is more with the rust and blood should only be used in larger scale models. ive managed to salvage 4 in total by painting the rust out with typhus corosion, whitch looks good-who would have thought that typhus was a savior to the orks
