Hi guys!I am new to this hobby and wanted to start a necron army because of how they look and the rules that they have.I want to start an army that can win me some games and also help me build up my experience by loss.And is you are thinking why am I starting necrons first?It is because my friends are at the same club I go to and they are able to help me with some rules.If you suggest to change some things to the other things the come with, that's ok as I have not assembled yet.Here is my army list:

looks like a very good start all in all. Its hard to work with a 500 pt list because it doesnt offer very many options for shiny toys in there.

but for a 1000pt list (which would probably be the best start) i'd possibly look at adding a nightscythe for those deathmarks and a Despairtek (not sure how familiar you are with our world of combining names but that is a Cryptek with the abyssal staff).

Stick the cryptek with the deathmarks in the nightscythe and you can put out a serious amount of damage. Deathmarks mark a unit upon entering play and that unit is wounded by the Deathmarks on a 2+ until it is removed, that ability transfers to the cryptek and the abyssal staff is a s8 ap1 flamer (usually wounds against leadership but in this case on a 2+) so you can imagine the amount of damage it will put out.

Stick with ghost ark as it is a very good transport, with 4 hull points and av13 until a pen is scored it's pretty nails.

I'd also add a couple of Annhilation barges if possible with the underslung tesla cannons.

I hope that helps, you may have to spend a little bit of money but they are good choices, always always always take three Annhilation barges if the points allow, if the points dont allow take as many as you can.

Okay will think about what you have said, annihilation barges are okay for me to build, and I will probably replace the CCB with one of them for the moment.The cryptec is well within my price budget, and quite like the idea of him.The night scythe is something that might take me a while to get, but is a must do.And without further due, here is my new list:

I think you might need to have an Overlord first to get Crypteks through the Royal Court, so this might not work out. But if you are playing small point games for now and need the points, perhaps you can either drop the Heavy or Elite. Or may the Deathmarks footslog?

Ah sorry i forgot to mention you need an Overlord to be able to take a Cryptek. My bad sorry!

That looks like a a better list. I'd look at building a list that meets a specific number of points though so in increments like 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500 etc.

I'd put an Overlord in there to give you access to the Cryptek, reduce the Warriors squad in the Ghost Ark down to a nine man squad and stick the Overlord in with them. Kit him out with a res orb, mindschackle, sempiternal weave and a warscythe and you'd be good to go.

If you are struggling for points the Deathmarks can deep strike, bit riskier but always an option
