Anyone going? - I never see this fun little show mentioned on Dakka

There's about 30 traders and it's normally a good weekend with the combo of looking a hundreds of tanks and combining it with looking at and buying miniatures

I'm there on the Sunday playing in our club game of Infinity on a 12x6 board which should be a good day's gaming and I'll be looking at the Hawk and Prodos stands too to see what's new and exciting coming
There's normally a few clearance deals as well and I found buy two get one free deals for GW and FOW last year, hope they are doing them again.

Just wondered if anyone even knew about this show as it's not highly publicized but it's worth a look if you're in the area now I better paint the rest of my Infinity up ready for the game, apparently for once everyone in the club has painted models!

If people haven't visited Bovington Tank Museum, I highly recommend it unless you are not interested in tanks.

The crew from Brad Pitt's upcoming Fury were there to record the Tiger's engine sound for the film. The tank itself was off public display from the museum as it had just returned from the filming of the movie.

Do you have to pay to get into the wargames bit or just the standard entrance fee? I get in for free with my military ID usually.

I've actually heard about this place...I think from the first Imperial Armor book I bought. There's a few pages where the designers talk about drawing inspiration from some of the WWI stuff there.

As for OP, take pictures! If not for yourself, for us on the other side of the pond.

Yeah there a good Great War display as you enter the hall. It has info on how the war was progressing and how the Tank was developed from that. Then it's straight in the Mk1 and onwards through the rest of the marks including the APC version you can climb in.

Awesome day out even without war gaming!

Personal favourite is the PIAT simulator.

I visited when I first joined the Corps, its a fething brilliant place, perfect for tread heads of all-ages.

I was genuinely surprised to see so many tanks in such a relatively unheard of place, I didn't even know it existed when I was a civvie.
