So, I recently got a copy of the nids book, and being a big fan of Chaos Daemon Flying lists was hoping to find some amazing stuff right out the gate... The book has a lot of really awesome units in it, but they'll all very expense, and I don't think there's a single inv save in the book.

Of course I could have written a list with 150 Hormagaunts and a bunch of baddies marching up behind them, HT w/ TG, Hive Guard for the tanks, blah blah. That'd be too obvious!

Here's the first list I wrote, which I'm sure would either get beat badly, or just piss the (tabled) opponent off.

Froth at the top, dregs at the bottom, but the middle - excellent

Not totally bad, sort of Nid'zilla! meets Skyblight...(ish) I'd say you have too few Troops, but you're going for table, so maybe not so bad...I also think you don't have enough Synapse, but Big Bugs generally do well when out of Synapse...so I'd have to see it in play. I Think what will happen is you'll lose the tyrants, and the army will melt...but maybe Big Wormey can save the day... I don't think you'll get much use from all the Regen though....

The will of the hive is always the same: HUNGER

I agree dropping the regens for some venomthropes and zoanthropes would be a good move. Also, the rupture cannons on the tyranno aren't all that great. I prefer going with acid spray and Electro grubs. Saves lots of points too. Grubs on the tyrants is also nice to have just in case.
