Member of a Lodge? I Can't Say

Hey all,
I have been taking a break from 40k for about a year now to concentrate on a different game (bolt action). In the past few days I have been getting the 40k itch again and I want to go back to my first ever army from 15 years ago, the White Scars.
Before I go out and buy everything I want to plan my army. I am thinking of going mostly bikes with either tac marines in a rhino or scouts to hold objectives. I want to stick to their fluff as much as possible.
This brings me to my question, how well would a (mostly) all biker army perform in 7th?
Thanks,
Ed

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Bike Armies are great. Khan is good for giving bikes and transports scout. A Chapter Master on a Bike w/ Artificer Armour, Shield of Eternal, and a Thunder Hammer will destroy enemy units and soak up bullets. A Command Squad w/ Grav on Bikes will rip units to shreds.
I don't have my codex on me but for 1500 points I'd go with
Khan
Bike
Chapter Master
Bike, AA, TH, SoE
Command Squad
4x Grav, Apothecary, Bikes
5x Man Bike Squad
2x Grav
5x Man Bike Squad
2x Grav
5x Man Bike Squad
2x Melta
5x Man Bike Squad
2x Melta
Stormtalon
Skyhammer
Stormtalon
Skyhammer
Thunderfire
Thunderfire

Thanks, it's good to know that I'll be able to hold my own with almost pure bikes. I probably won't use thunder fire cannons though as they would go against the fluff of the White Scars as they are too slow. It is the fluff of the scars that got me into them all those years ago and I intend to do it justice

Revving Ravenwing Biker

They are pretty devastating .... I run this at 1500 points (sometimes swapping out the stormtalons for thunderfire cannons / double heavy flamer land speeder)
"Counts As" Kor'sarro Khan (Moondrakkan) – 150 {Attached to the Command Squad}
Command Squad (Space Marine Bikes, Apothecary, 4 Space Marine Veterans, 4x Grav Guns) – 210
Space Marine Bike Squad (Sergeant with Combi-Grav & Melta Bombs, 4 Space Marine Bikers, 2 Grav Guns) – 150
Space Marine Bike Squad (Sergeant with Combi-Grav & Melta Bombs, 4 Space Marine Bikers, 2 Grav Guns) – 150
Space Marine Bike Squad (Sergeant with Combi-Grav & Melta Bombs, 4 Space Marine Bikers, 2 Grav Guns) – 150
Space Marine Bike Squad (Sergeant with Combi-Melta & Melta Bombs, 4 Space Marine Bikers, 2 Melta Guns) – 140
Space Marine Bike Squad (Sergeant with Combi-Melta & Melta Bombs, 4 Space Marine Bikers, 2 Melta Guns) – 140
Space Marine Bike Squad (Sergeant with Combi-Melta & Melta Bombs, 4 Space Marine Bikers, 2 Melta Guns) – 140
Stormtalon Gunship (Assault Cannon, Skyhammer Missile Launcher) – 125
Stormtalon Gunship (Assault Cannon, Skyhammer Missile Launcher) – 125
= 1480
I originally swapped over from ravenwing to space marines when the new codex hit (painted up as a counts as unforgiven army) and it is awesome. Having your entire army start on the deployment edge and scout move 12" then move 12-24 inches on t1 is brutal against most armies (and depending on the table size your playing on) ... this list can deal with MCs / AV / Fliers / does well against hordes and turned out unintentionally to be very fluffy.

If you don't run Thunderfires (The Best Unit in the Marine Codex) then I'd run Double Flamer Land Speeders which are very fluffy.

I'm (very) slowly building up a White Scars force, and I'm only taking the units that fit with the force thematically. While a Thunderfire cannon is right out, the Whirlwind is not - it's far more mobile, and while not the killer the cannon is, it's still pretty good and very cheap. I'd also consider landspeeders for additional firepower (the double-heavy-flamer variant mentioned by Feasible is one of my favourites), as well as scouts for holding objectiveThe landspeeder Storm with some scouts is also a very flavourful addition - mine's next on the assembly line!

How's this for a first list;
White Scars 1,500
Kor'sarro Khan 125
+ Moondrakken 25
150
Command squad 100
+ bikes 35
+ apothecary 15
+ 4 grav-guns 60
210
8 bikes 168
+ combi-melta 10
+ 2 melta-guns 20
+ MM attack bike 55
253
8 bikes 168
+ combi-plasma 10
+ 2 plasma-guns 30
+ MM attack bike 55
263
8 bikes 168
+ combi-flamer 10
+ 2 flamers 10
+ attack bike 45
233
5 scouts 55
+ land speeder storm 45
100
5 scouts 55
+ land speeder storm 45
100
Land speeder 50
+ 2 heavy flamers 10
60
Storm talon gunship 110
+ skyhammer missile launcher 15
125
1,494
The plan is to use the White Scars' preferred method of battle and keep the enemy at arms length whilst shooting the heresy out of them. I will use Khan's scout rule to re-deploy everything 12" before the game. The scouts will float around in their speeders taking pot-shots at stuff and taking objectives. The command squad will go after high save units, the melta squad will hunt tanks, the plasma squad will hunt 2+ save units/light vehicles and the flamer squad will hunt infantry squads with the duel-flamer land speeder. The storm talon with just fly around shooting at whatever it feels like.
Sound good?

I never play SM only Orks but can be completely honest: I'm totally jealous of White Scars. All their special rules in addition to all the SM rules. In 7th edition, especially Malestrom missions, durable, fast MSU will win.

I like the list but I would drop a few combo weapons to put powerfists on the scout sergeants. Or melta bombs if you're cheap. Bikersc aren't really an assault army but my scout sergeant has taken out plenty of vehicles with his powerfist. Scout and an open topped transport is pretty mean. Especially since people write them off until they are putting four crack grenades and four powerfist hits on the rear armor of whatever moved forward turn 1

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

That list is good however I would go for something more like....
Khan - 150
Bike
Command Squad - 210
Bikes
4x Grav
Apothecary
5x Man Bike Squad - 19
2x Melta
Combi Melta
Melta Bombs
Attack Bike
Multi Melta
5x Man Bike Squad - 195
2x Melta
Combi Melta
Melta Bombs
Attack Bike
Multi Melta
5x Man Bike Squad - 150
2x Grav
Combi Grav
Melta Bombs
5x Man Scout Squad - 115
Melta Bombs
Combi Melta
LSS
HF
5x Man Scout Squad - 115
Melta Bombs
Combi Melta
LSS
HF
Land Speeder - 60
2x HF
Land Speeder - 60
2x HF
Stormtalon -125
Skyhammer ML
Stormtalon - 125
Skyhammer ML
The Bikes go around shooting things at good range. As Grav is amazing on bikes, it is there. Melta Bike Squads blow up tanks. Land Speeders burn infantry up. Land Speeder Storms drop Scouts onto objectives and generally be annoying. Stormtalons destroy enemy Air Power.
