I was also thinking about dropping the vets and picking up some infantry platoons and an ADL or dropping a squad of vets and getting an ADL and some other goodies. What do you all think?

Can you squeeze a Lascannon on the Pask Vanquisher? Seems a bit of a waste to not use Pask's BS4, especially if you're shooting AV anyway.

As per above. Also 3 melta squads is excessive (especially with pask in a vanq). I'd take 1 with plasma guns and with heavy flames and 2xFlamers

Thanks for the feedback. Im not sure how I would squeeze in the LC, plasma guns or an executioner instead of a LRBT as I currently only have 10 points to spend. Should I maybe think of using reg infantry platoons?

I agree with this also, if you drop down one of the LRBTs to something else it will free up points, keep the vets as vets tho.

Swap a battle tank for an eradicator with heavy bolters, pretty good versus infantry.

Thats actually a decent idea. 30 points cheaper than the LRBT. If i dont take the HB sponsons it frees up another 30 points, 40 in total since im already 10 points short and id be able to bring the LC on Pask and some other things.

i wouldn't take ANY standard leman russ.

they didn't get a price drop and also its battle cannon is ordanance.

this means as soon as you fire it, all other guns are snap shooting, hampering its killing ability.

there are other variants that are either far cheaper, far better, or both.

speaking from experiance with my current guard which is a leman russ wall, eradicators are amazing for their points, and will prove to be MVP's more often than you would think, especially against non marine armies.

the other gold star tank of note is the punisher with HB sponsons and hull mounted HB.

The turret plus the 3 HB's means each tank has 29, yes 29 str 5 shots a turn!

i would suggest dropping those 3 LRBT for:

2 x LR Punisher- HB sponsons
1 x LR Eradicator- HF Sponsons

exactly the same points this way you get a unit with 58 shots that trust me, REGULARLY kill Tau Riptiades not to mention mowing down any and all infantry and a tank that ignores cover with all its weapons, which considering 7th is all about holding objectives, is such a fantastic tool to have.
