Hey guys. I've just started an ork army and not sure on how to base them. I am currently thinking of the cracked earth stuff from GW with some grass tufts like on their tutorial.

Any other suggestions would be great, I'm open to anything, I have a forgeworld death guard army on ruined city bases so want something a little different and more suite to the orks,

I like scrap/junk yard for orks

Although I'm just toying around with duplicating some metal sheet plating textrues, so it would be as if theyre onboard a wagon or a trukk for example.

Scrap / junk yard looks great, so long as you have a well-stocked bitz box or are happy to buy textured plasticard.

I presume your death guard army's ruined city bases are mostly rubble, so wouldn't look too similar?

What type terrain boards are you playing on

I based all mine desert with some patches of grass.

shameless plug here, have a look at my orks bases especialy the kanz they are realy easy to do but come out great
