In the Ghazzy supplement, there's a formation called "green tired". You need to get 10 units of boyz and one warboss, which all counter as 1 great big unit. So you can have the unit be between 101 and 301 models, but it counts as all the same unit.

I.E. a painful + boss with stikk gives all 100+ models +1 WS and 5+ FNP.

K, I didn't know that. I haven't picked up my book yet. So the "unit" can secure one objective? Lol. Weird.

The Green tide is a massive unit that may be difficult for whole armies to deal with...they ALL get to enjoy Fearless, Feel No Pain and WS 5.

They can cover the board and can kill many units with sheer volume of attacks. The main Ork codex detachment deals with units they can't and secures objectives, while the tide deals with the enemy.

I can see a huge tide like the being bogged down easily by a walker charging a flank away from ghazzy. While he slowly makes his way over with his 3" pile ins the boys will be unable to hurt anything with AV 11/10.

Even worse it would be a PITA to keep in coherency. moving around terrain and then having chunks of it blown away by shooting leaving the unit to move as best it can to get back to coherency. Barrage could target certain portions and make a coherency night mare out of it.

Long and short of it, I feel like the green tide is great way to have ~900pts of orks stepping on their dicks most of the game.

If the BW's get blown up by enemy shooting in turn one they will be able to charge on the ork turn one .

Scout prevents a first turn charge. Just cannot happen.

Gathering the Informations.

You cannot have Da Lucky Stikk.

"Any units from a Detachment or Formation presented in this book(Waagh! Ghazghkull) that can select Gifts of Gork and Mork cannot select from those listed in Codex: Orks, but can instead select from Orkimedes' Kustom Gubbinz, presented opposite, at the points cost shown."

The Boss from the main detachement is from the main ork book. The Green tide is from Waagh! Ghazghkull.

Imagine the devastation that could be wreaked by a death company dreadnaught with the S6 AP3 shredding attacks that keep on coming... or two of them...

Then he's a second detachment and you're wasting points on him when you could have done something better.
