We had a lengthy (scorcha)-heated discussion at the time. Eventually we allowed them to get the 8 teef back and buy an eavy shoota when we couldn't come to an agreement.

Allowing no upgrades makes them fairly worthless once peoples trukks start getting eavier though which is a real shame.

Obviously you can houserule it however you like but these are my suggestions:

1: a single str increase is fine - any other gun can do the same with no penalty.

2: a single more dakka is fine - as above - also you could say only a single ammo roll is made when firing regardless of 2 or 3 hits (barring any additionals for jams rolled on the sustained fire die)

3:Range increase - interesting one - maybe a one time deal - I would say after an upgrade you can roll an artillery die and place the template up to that far from the trukk in the direction you were shooting - if a misfire is rolled - you've hit your own trukk (or an ammo roll?) Appropriately orky i feel. Failing that you could just roll a D6 every time you fire for extra range

4: Any further trips to the meks for more dakka or str will incur an appropriate penalty from those available - so for example if you try more dakka for a second time - your scorcha either suffers -1 str or suffers the ammo roll penalty (first to automatic then becomes useless if you get too greedy!)

I love Gorkamorka - we have started having mid-week sessions outside of club nights to feed the addiction

It does suffer from 1st edition syndrome in that these questions would most likely have been tidied up in revisions or official
faqs.
Could tweet one of the writers and get their opinion

 Thanks for the
