+2 on the mobrule table. That has to mean that rolls of 5 and 6 become rolls of 7 and 8 and thus do nothing, and there's no chance to roll born to fight?

I don't get it. Is this a joke?

Also what are the Waagh! Ghazkull warlord traits anyway, because in my version at least there is no table. Is this a problem with every ebook reader I've tried or does the book really not have the table? What am I supposed to do with this "supplement"?

Wait, so, Waaagh! Ghazkull mobs, then, even while having a mob of 30boyz who then fail a morale check, actually run on rolls of 5 and 6 since there are no results of 7and 8 and on other results they take more guaranteed damage? What?

For now they forgot to put the warlord traits in the online version. Also, you only get the mob rule +2 if you take the special force organization, which doesn't specify it you must take it or not.

Yeah I know you can always go unbound but... Like this feels like whoever wrote this didn't get to read the finished Ork Codex. I can't even guess what the designer's intent with the mob rule thing was.

When reading the fluff description for the boss is watching, one gets the impression that the ork characters are more brutal and disciplined warriors than regular orks, quick to restore discipline by breaking some heads together or eating the face of that whimpering ork boy sounding like a grot.

Oddly enough the +2 on the mob rule makes it even less likely that any character will manage to discipline his troops. (1/6 instead of 1/3 as for normal orks).
I think the mob rule and the +2 would have made a lot more sense if it was: 1 Born to fight, 2-4 squabble and 5-6+ breaking heads, that way characters can discipline their troops 2/3 of the time.

Anyway, I think its safe to assume that the table should end with a 6+ and not just a 6. So results of 7 and 8 still gives some results.

It seems like a bit of a downer having that +2 to mob rule, the supplement is quite good but not nearly so over-powered so that our boyz units need to suffer!
Bear in mind that the boss is watching rule only applies to the detachments from Waaagh! Ghazghkull and not your entire army (unless of course all of your detachments are from the supplement). A few of these new detachments don't even really contain units that will often take or fail a ld test: the Ghaz deathstar unit, scouting battlewagons, fearless MANZ etc.

the +2 to mob rule is prob to encourage people to take big mobs to mitigate it. I haven't seen the book yet.

I have been assaulting with Orks for a solid week now. I have no problem with the new Orks! All I see is complaints but I'm not sure people are bulding assault lists. I think people are relying on theory hammer to determine whats best. Not always accurate.

Expect heavy casualties!

Most of the mob rule stuff gets mitigated by taking the special Bosspole, Mad Dok, or Stompa. I tend to take a lot of vehicles as well.

Sometimes it's nice to "Go to Ground", which you can't do if Fearless.

Also - while there's a lot of negativity around the new Mob Rule because of the loss of Fearless and the extra hits, my experience has been nice since mob rule kicks in and helps for smaller units. Yes, below 10 models, you have a 50% chance of bolting from combat; however, that's a 50% better chance that what we had last book. Having fearless at 11+ models was nice but pushed players to large squads. The new mob rule works for small and large units while giving boosts to units like Lootas who tend to be in cover and not the front lines.

Fearless is great - not denying that, but I'm beginning to enjoy the new mob rule a lot more the more I take it. I am no longer writing off units of 10 boyz since losing combat by 1 wound isn't a guaranteed death sentence any more.
