Infinity has picked up interest in my area, and even though I'm probably working on something that directly competes with Infinity, the new models for Kum riders has me wanting to buy and paint them. Maybe play a bit.

So now I'm looking for a bunch of units that could go with it to form an army that would play decently, but look good first.

Any suggestions?

Can't help much on the what else question, but I do know there is another box of Kum Bikers in the works as well (I am too lazy to dig up the concept art for them) so you have those to look forward to.

The Ghulam Infantry are very nice sculpts and they are getting a special weapon box soon to go with their standard infantry.

And these guys just came out too and are pretty pimp looking

I'd have to look at the Sectorial options, and take a gander at the AVA for some models before coming up with something.

The Kum bikers are excellent, for sure, but like most biker style units they have a pretty low life expectancy in gameplay. But they are a lot of fun. They also won't be costing you very many points, as they're rather cheap models. Which just means you'll have plenty of other cool stuff to fill in the force with.

I'll try and get something together later. Any other models besides the bikers that interest you?

Tags and remotes always look good. This army is also meant to sit next the demo table and look pretty, and be a silly thing to play every now and then.

I suppose something disruptive to help those impetuous models get into combat without getting too shot up.

I actually had some of the new gulam infantry, but sold it to a friend who has since moved away. The one that looked like solid snake was interesting.

How's your patience? In a year or so the next expansion book will be out, and we know that there will be a Khanate sectorial in it, focusing on Kum riders and their gangs. If you want a head start, we also now know Halqa will be in the sectorial.

Thanks, I can wait for that.

I'm really not in a rush to get into infinity, although I'm still buying those riders and a halqa now to paint and show during friends' demos.

With version 3 coming out, and so many other games on my plate, patience is my only option.

I'm struggling to choose a Haqq force at the moment too, the stuff I really want can't be fielded together. I think I'm just going to ignore the AVAs and get what I want (bikers, Saladin, female Fiday, 2 Lasiqs, 4 Odalisques and 7 Ghulam assuming the new ones are nice). They can be split into 2 legal forces at least.

As long as you drop the Odalisques to 2, all if that can be fielded in vanilla.

I know, I really want all 4 though, amazing models. So 2 x vanilla 200 points seems to best way to shoehorn them all in.
