I'm not talking about an apocalypse scenario, I'm talking about legions of demons wiping out humanity, or a mass war between angels and daemons with humanity caught in the crossfire.
Situations like that is a gold mine, and yet there don't seem to be any movies for it.
Does anyone know any movies like that?

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Um, the closest I can think of to what you're describing is the pretty terrible 'comedy' film "This is the End" with Seth Rogan and James Franco.

It's um, well, terrible.

Aside from that, most of the related films resolve around stopping the apocalypse, as opposed to it actually happened already. Such as 7th Sign, Knowing (sort of, but it's also terrible), Ahnold's 'End of Days' - The Constantine film covers it too, doesn't it? Plus Buffy / Angel, obviously. You can't forget Hellboy too.

There's a new Constantine TV show coming up, but I don't think that's particularly apocalyptic though.

As long as this is isn't in the OT ...

... how about Priest? It's about vampire creatures rather than demons, but it is pretty supernatural and has an apocalyptic backdrop. Popcorn action, but it gets bonus points for the 40k vibe.

Another one with vampires is Daybreakers with the amazing Sam Neill. It's a little deeper than Priest and actually throws up a couple interesting thoughts. Also, Sam Neill.

I suppose it'd help if you could .. prioritise what you're after? Does it have to be demons and angels, or is it more about the crisis itself? Do you want movies that are about preventing this apocalypse, ones about surviving it, or ones where it is an event in past history?

^Really any of the viewpoints you mentioned are fine, just as long as its a large scale apocalypse and demons/ angels are involved.
And yes. I'm aware of Legion.
Off topic slightly from the thread with a game that has something like what I'm after Darksiders 1 is super good for this. 2 has it in the background. Darksiders is good in general.

You ever seen the show 'supernatural'? I've always been meaning to see it. I heard it's really good and pretty funny.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

No demons really, but in the movie Legion the angels are kinda like demons wiping out people and there's 1 good angel trying to stop them. It's an ok movie, the Sci Fi channel just made a new series based off of it called Dominion that takes place 25 years later, and is also just ok so far.

The show Supernatural is also a good choice. It started out more about hunting monsters but got all biblical in later seasons.

Hmmm....off the top of my head:

Priest
Constantine
Legion (same guy in Priest)
Prophecy (Christopher Walken)
Ninth Gate
The Sevemth Sign
City of Bones
Season of the Witch
Fallen

Not saying all are -good- movies.....but most aren't too bad.

This was a wierd, slow, moody, good film from the 90s that was a supernatural apocalyptic flick. Although if I recall, there's no onslought of demons or angels or anything.

Well, it IS Seth Rogan. It's going to be terrible regardless. The only way it could be worse, would be if Zach Gallafinakis was also in it. With Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Adam Sandler and a bunch of other "commedians".

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
