Hi, I’m Jason and I’m new here.

I picked up my first Core Set at Star Wars Celebration VI. Yes, it has the really bad paint job and the air bubbles in the stems. I played a couple of games with a friend, but that’s about it.
Recently, I learned that it was actually a thing in my area (which is saying something for the part of Oregon I live in). So, I bought a couple of Expansion Packs and am on my way to galactic domination!
A bit of history:
I cut my teeth on BattleTech back in the late 80s and early 90s. The addiction got so bad that I began a BattleTech club at my school where we held day long and weekend long battles and, at one point, a month-long five-sided campaign. That was a doozy. The Mountain Dew flowed like water.
I love tactical puzzles, and this game is giving me that. I look forward to playing to all at tournaments and defeating you in the name of the Rebel Alliance (or Galactic Empire).

Welcome to Dakka! Although I don't play Xwing, I did have nice memories of Battletech. I liked to walk up close and punch people in the face with that AC 20 on my shoulder.
