Greetings all. I am completely new to WHFB and obviously that being said new to the Wood Elves. This is my first attempt at a list. I know for a fact that I will be playing regularly against High Elves and Warriors of Chaos. Here is what I have so far.

+++ Wood Elves (665/750) +++

+ Heroes + (185pts)
* Glade Captain (105pts)
* Magic Items
Hail of Doom Arrow
* Spellsinger (80pts)
Lore of Beasts, Wizard Level 1

+ Core + (300pts)
* Glade Guard x10 (150pts)
Trueflight Arrows
* Glade Guard x10 (150pts)
Trueflight Arrows

+ Rare + (180pts)
* Waywatchers x9 (180pts)

This puts me at 665 out of 750. As far as units I currently have access to goes. I own the following.

Orion
Spellweavers/Spellsingers x3
Glade Guard x56 (I am very capable of conversions if this many is not needed)
Glade Riders x 8
Eternal Guard x10 (OOP Metal)
Waywatchers x3 (OOP Metal)
Wardancers x 5

I am not opposed to trading some of this stuff or purchasing another unit of something if needed. And as stated I am pretty good with conversions so converting Glad Guard into something else is a possibility. I received these models in a trade for some other stuff I had so that is why the numbers are what they are.

Thanks in advance for the advice looking forward to hearing what the community has to say!

Since you don't have any combat blocks, Wyssan's isn't really going to be doing anything for you. I'd suggest some groups of 5 or 6 wild riders (badass models and they hit super hard in combat). Eternal guard could make a decent combat unit, since they have stubborn and could be Wyssan'ed.

Personally, I would avoid wardancers and glade riders. Wardancers aren't survivable enough and just don't do enough damage, and glade riders have to start off the table due to the ambushing rule. If either of these things doesn't bother you, give them a shot anyway!
