High command has had myself and the Vorradis 75th shipped to the fields of Oklahoma where rumors of heretics, witches, mutants and xenon are abound! Lucky you! There is a great group of 40k players who play at Carolina Comics. Sunday is open play 40k day. The exceptionally friendly owners regularly host tournaments. Here is their fb page:

Awesome. I actually was able to visit Carolina Comics and meet one of the owners. He really great to talk to and I got a great vibe from the place, this only makes me like it even more.

Hey Ironjack. I play regularly at Carolina Comics so there's a large group of 40k players around.
They host monthly (free) tournaments, with roughly 10-12 players showing up. I think the next one is on the 27th, and is 1850 points.
I'm sure the owners let you know about open table days and so on.
