Hey all
I've just bought a Baal Predator from eBay and now that I've got I've just realised it has static grass on the tracks, obviously I don't want to damage the tracks or start stripping it so is there anyway to remove static grass? I'm assuming it is stuck on with PVA but it could be superglue.
HELP!

Tweezers, finger rub, Q-tip with a mild solvent (alcohol works pretty good and is gentle on paint).
If it is stuck on with PVA - you may be able to just soak it in water and it may very well come off there...however other items held in place with PVA will come off too.

Try the water first. It should dissolve PVA and remove the grass, and it probably won't do anything else to the model if it doesn't work (unless some loony put transfers on the treads). It's a safe first attempt before going to stronger solvents.

Applying small amounts of acetone with a syringe solves about everything. However, you have to be very careful that it doesn't get on plastic models and you have to expect the base to get ruined.

It's on tank tracks, so anything that can melt plastic is a no go Automatically Appended Next Post: It's on tank tracks, so anything that can melt plastic is a no go
