I have caught a few episodes and it seems like every episode I enjoy is followed up by one where I barely laugh and roll my eyes a lot--so overall I am not sure what to make of the show. It isn't great, but it isn't awful either. I guess "meh" is appropriate?
The "Geek Soup" format is derivative, and Wheaton is no Joel Mchale in terms of delivering punchy quips, so I'd almost prefer if they ventured into different territory. Hopefully the show is on long enough to get some legs under it and find its own way. I think the potential is there, but right now it is a bit of a let down.
Wil Seems to be tense. It doesn't have a natural flow like his Table Top show. Most of the jokes are bad and the show feels rushed. Has a few highlights but feel like Wil is not allowed to be will and him wearing a suit on the show puts an exclamation point on it. I can't take it seriously.
Yeah... Love him on Tabletop. But this one's really not working (at least so far). Far too much like an attempt to do a geeky TalkSoup, and it's failing in the comparison.
They really need to find a formula that works if the show's going to survive, but I'm not holding my breath...

I would have thought that a Jonathon Ross / Graeme Norton style show would have done quite well for Wil Wheaton. Something kinda informal where a bit of joking around would work. Plus a tv for any pre-recorded sketches or things too.
