Yes, and it is a very common tactic for many reasons. Throw one of your guys at his to knock him down, charge your own guy to get some extra movement, shoot one of your guys to clear a charge lane....it goes on and on.

I shall express myself to the fullest, regardless of state or local laws. -me-

You can't be considered as being in "melee" with friendly models if you attack them with melee weapons, but you can attack them with any weapons/magic at your disposal. Unless it say otherwise.

A pretty common tactics with my Khador Assault Kommandos is to set them as a big W and shoot my gas grenade to my own guy back, the backstrike bonus make it much easier to hit. The amount of combination by attacking your own guy (killing them or not) is limitless! Another good example... is the Butcher2, useless to say what it did haha!
