I want to use the black and blue color scheme from the Necron codex. How do I make the gun rods blue?

Most people I've seen use small clear rods produced by Plastruct - you can't really buy them from the Plastruct website, though. Miniwargaming has them in their online store, here's some in blue, you just cut them to size & stick them in like usual. Hope that helps

Won't that give them a more matt finish instead of a gloss one?

Yes, but after you seal them, then you can just paint Gloss Varnish over that part of it. They just won't have that see-through effect.

Go on Google and search for "acrylic rod". There will be lots of companies who mail order it.

I managed to order them from their site. But there is a minimum order of $20 when I did that. It was cheaper than eBay though, for me. But it was fine because I'll probably do the Infinite Phalanx eventually so I will need the rods. And fr Destroyers.

The size I have found fitting is 3/32 inches. Hope that helps you.
