Since witch fire is in the psychic phase, can I use a chimera's fire point in the psychic phase and then fire two special weapons in the shooting phase?

thats not really his question I don't think.
The fire point allows two people to use it, his question is if that is a per turn limit, or a per phase limit.
I believe it is a per phase limit, so you could have 2 psykers witchfire, and then two models (same or different) shoot out of the same fire point.

I looked over the Rules and then refrained from posting... given how I am a compulsive poster that likes to twist the Rules around my fingers, that should say something to how difficult the question is to answer. I am going back and forth in my own head, and have been for the last half a hour, thanks to the fact no Rule directly address's if Fire points can be used in subsequence Phases. There is a Rule which states that only a single Model may use a Fire Point but that fails to mention if said Restriction is per Shooting Sequence, Phase, Turn or even Game! That last part, the fact it could be argued just as easily that the Restriction is for the entire Game as it is for the entire Turn, is what causes the problem I am facing and is leading me to conclude that the Restriction in question is for a single Shooting Sequence or Attack. However, even that puts more questions onto the table, for if it is limited to a single Shooting Sequence then the Restriction would not prevent multiple Units from using a single Fire Point within those few Transports that carry more then one Unit....

I'm leaning towards no on this one.
Mainly because a single passenger can fire out of each firepoint. And a passenger can fire shooting weapons or use a witchfire.

The psychic phase specifically says that you can use as many witchfires as you know in the psychic phase and then can fire a weapon in the shooting phase, even firing each power and weapon at a different target. It seems fairly clear that when embarked you could use a witchfire and then fire a weapon from the same fire point. The question is, can I cast a witchfire in the psychic phase and then have a completely separate model fire in the shooting phase, from the same fire point?

I say no to both based on the 2 rules I quoted. but in the end it boils down to how you and your opponent want to play it.

Given that my problem with the question concerns if the Restriction is per Shooting Sequence, Phase, Turn or even Game I ask the following:
Assuming the Restriction carries over, what prevents this from 'locking' the Fire Point to one Model per the entirety of the Game?

I'm basing it on the rules provided are based on the turn summary. so all the rules are based on your turn. hence if your transport get's assaulted then other models could fire out the firepoints.
It also prevents a superheavy transport with 3 units embarked from having all 3 units use the same firepoints.

By the same logic though, the witchfire is described in the psychic phase, shooting in the shooting phase. So if the rulebook is organized based on a turn, couldn't you fire separately in each phase?

I think you can b/c they seem to be moving towards psychic shooting is completely different from normal shooting and kept separate in every way.

In short, yes because now you can cast in the psychic phase and still fire a weapon AT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TARGET than the one you or your unit targeted in the psychic phase

I would go further and say that the shooting sequence is repeated for every weapon type, so we are now in a situation of "ALL or NOTHING" with all the shades of grey in-between until they FAQ this.
ALL: Single model may use a fire point, so every time you pick a new weapon type, 1 of the models may fire through the Fire Point.
NOTHING: Single model may use a fire point, single model may use a Hunter-Seeker missile, and that's it for the game.
Any interpretation in-between those 2 would be valid

I say yes. Don't forget overwatch. You are allowed to shoot overwatch from a transport when assaulted. Doesn't say anything about not being able to fire if the fire point was used during the shooting phase. I believe the fire points rule is to make sure only the correct number use it per phase.
