Hey Dakka,

I am going for a reduced model count force and thought this would be a fun and affordable way to achieve that. I think this list will be a hard hitter and have a pretty good W/L ratio.

What do you guys suggest/think? 2K on the nose.

I'd drop a couple of paladins and get a second strike squad with the same loadout. Maybe buy a land raider for the remaining paladins?

Usually putting weapons on strikes is a waste.

And I've never been a fan of vindicares,

If you drop the weapons off the first squad and the vindicare
you could get another 5 man strike squad with a psycannon with a psybolt razorback for the points

Drop both heavy Psycannons from the Dreadknights, its a point sink that's not worth the value. I'd drop the Vindicare, too, then throw in a kitted out Libby.

You combat squad the Paladins into a shooty squad and a stabby squad. Draigo goes with the stabby squad, then you add the Libby to the shooty squad. The shooty squad, having 4 psycannons, is great for deleting vehicles. You can clance AV 14 to death, and have 16 chances to pen anything lower than that. Combine that with the DKs, and you have decent anti-tank. The Libby should take from the Divination tree, in my opinion, since the Paladins themselves can already cast Hammerhand.

Rule #1 is Look Cool.
Rule #2 is Do Cool S*%* Even If It's Tactically Inadvisable
Winning is something like Rule #17.

I also agree with this but would like to add that Divination isn't the only thing the Libby could take, Telepathy is also good for defensive options and Psychic Shriek. On a lvl 3 psyker Libby, Telepathy can be monstrous for keeping a unit alive. Divination though makes those psycannons not miss and there is a defensive option in there as well.

Alright, thanks for the posts! How does this revised list look to everyone?

The libby might be overloaded on gear.....is the Force Sword the best weapon for him?

The force sword gives +1 to his Invul save when it comes to close combat which is nice if you are facing something that will make his armor go away like hammers.

Honestly, for my Librarian, I like the Force Staff since it add +2 Strength to combine with hammerhand it would bring the Librarian up to 8 Stength to hit hard and be able to insta-kill any 4T and be able to hit vehicles pretty well as well.

I dont believe the Nemesis Warding Stave adds + str like a Force staff does, as a Warding stave is considered an "Unusual Force weapon" which makes it user str and ap3

Wren is right.

The last change I'd is to drop the strike squad for a Solodin, then add in 5 interceptors. With 12 inches of movement, the rhino isn't needed.

Give the interceptors a psycannon, psybolt ammo, and a daemonhammer. Leave the Solodin stock except for a halberd.

This gives you a mobile force that can keep up with the DKs, and can follow them if they shunt.

Thanks for the comments, dudes. I like the last revision.

Very much appreciated. Psychic level 10 base and lots of shooty and CC power. Plus it is only 20 models total lol.

Your welcome. GKs are my favorite army because of the low model count. It makes life simpler.

May your Draigowing prosper.

Thanks Lshowell, GK are a fun army IMO. Plus with all this new Daemonology stuff....need to keep the warp in check somehow.

I like drybrushing boltgun metal on top of black, with trim in necron compound.

Creates a dark brushed steel effect.

My Grey Knights are pure silver. It's hard to do any kind of edging with it so you might want to go with Tran Spyre's idea but I prime my GK with Plate Mail primer from Army painter and then base coat in Runefang Steel and then rely on Drakenhof Nightshade to fill in for shadow effects and create the blue sheen effect of the Aegis.
