So, I was thinking about re-posing some Marines from FW into a bit more dynamic of a pose, as well as to fit onto standard Bikes. Notably, Heresy armor. I have a whole slew of them in the walking-with-bolter pose and I got to get more out of them. My hope is that I can repose... somehow.

Anyone done this? Is the cut-greenstuff method good or the boiling water method? I looked around the internets, but couldn't find too much, especially concerning bikes.

Any and all info will be appreciated greatly!

Pin-and-greenstuff would probably be a better option as sometimes the resin has a tendency to warp back into the position it was originally in.

Bending can work to some extent, but you also run the risk that the pose will look wrong because the arm/limbs will be bending along a curve instead of at a sharper angle (your people will look like they've got bowed bones).

Thus cutting and using pins to hold the parts together (and provide a firm bond) as well as greenstuff to fill in gaps and replace detail is the best approach. It might well take you longer, but you'll get a far better finish.
