Does anyone use Captain Sicarius frequently? I've been interested in using him but he is a lot of points. He seems like a good HQ for an army with lots of drop pods or flyers.

One other question I have is in reguard to Battle-forged Heores.

If the tactical squad in question combat squads, are both units Battle-forged Heroes?

Both halves of a Tactical Squad get the upgrade.

I've not used him a lot, but he seems to have a lot of potential..

No, because Tigurius is better. 20pts cheaper, provides access to Divination, get's slightly better reserve manipulation, provides psychic defense for his unit/extra dice to dispell the enemies. That, and Sicarius suffers from having an AP3 weapon as his main ability, which has a special rule that's kind of mediocre. (Khan's does it slightly better, as well.)

Yes, both combat squads will be battleforged heroes, as you do that during deployment, so at the same time they split into combat squads.

I think he's one of the coolest models in the SM codex, that helmet is amazing. That said, he's iffy in game. He's a kinda overpriced Captain with a cool sword and unless you have a good plan for the Battle Forged Heroes rule, don't take him.
