hey guys, I recently won a star wars set at a tournament recently,

I want to build a list that focuses strickly on OWNING the movement phase as I think that is the most important phase, and I enjoy that kind of play style.

I currently have the main boxed set, the imperial aces set, and a phantom.

so far I am pretty happy as all the regular ties, interceptors, and phantom all have good dials and bonuses to their movement through boosts, barrel rolls, and cloak.

right now I am toying with whisper/echo + advanced cloak, two lvl 1 bare bones ties, a lowest level interceptor, and lowest level royal interceptor. the idea being to have a phantom that can get behind them, interceptors that can flank, and ties to come at em from the front, or other flank.

my question is:

is there any majorly manuverable imperial ship I am mising?

are there any ships with MUST HAVE movement type bonus upgrade cards?

I only have one title, what are good titles to get, and where (what ship pack) cant i get them from?

I have never actually played a game, so what stuff counters highly mobile fleets that I should maybe be aware of and how can it be countered?

thanks in advance!

Slave I can be a good ship if you're looking for manoeuvrability if you use Fett, Navigator and Engine upgrade!! Personally I also run Fett with the Heavy Laser Cannon and Push the Limit - it gives you a decent amount if offensive power with the HLC, plus the ability to change your speed with navigator, and (if banking) the direction with Fett's ability followed up by up to two boost moves with PTL

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Navigator is found in the Imperial Shuttle and I believe (sadly) Engine upgrade is only available with the Millennium Falcon

I always try to keep this up to date with what projects I'm working on... but they just keep piling up

The main counter to maneuverability are turrets. If you are up against the falcon, she has a 360 degree firing arc on her primary weapon. Y wings with various turret options too.

Ion will also hurt you, because if you are hit with an ion turret or cannon, your opponent knows where your ship will be next turn, and will make you pay.

There's not much you can do except focus fire on the turret wielding ships first to kill them as quickly as possible.

Yeah Y-wigs are the bane of my life!! I've honestly lost too many TIE fighters due to crashing in to asteroids because of the Ion tokens :/

Agile lists can struggle with stuff like turrets, gunners and stress effects. Generally, your ships aren't terribly durable either, so things can go bad pretty quickly.

As far as mobile ships go, the Firespray is probably the most agile large ship. 1-3 banks, 2-3 turns, 3-4 K-turns and it can cover all sorts of ground. Combine that with its rear firing arc, pilots like Boba Fett and upgrades like Navigator, Expert Handling or Engine Upgrade and they can be hard to shake.

Defenders are also fairly mobile in a different way. They are masters of the straightaway with a green 5 forward and white K-turn, but can be tricky adjusting course.

The Lambda may not look it, but it can be pretty mobile with an engine upgrade. With its big base, a 3 straight or 2 bank followed by a boost can cross midfield in one go.

You'll probably have to grab a single intercepter. Soontir Fel and Turr Phenir both rock for movement dominance

If maneuverability is your thing, Echo is the ship to go with. That said, it is not easy to master piloting her.
The amount of movement you can get is ridiculous, but you also have to play smart and make sure you don't end up on obstacles or gain stress.

The ship isn't durable and is dependent on keeping itself cloaked. A good beginner's setup for echo:
Echo
- Veteran Instincts
- Advanced cloaking device
- Navigator

The navigator is way more forgiving on your banks/turns, since it's easy to put the wrong move on the dial with all the twisting/turning.
