Very quick question. I still haven't got the 7th edition rulebook and recently had a game with Tau against an army including a Knight Paladin. At one point I had fusion blasters in half range and was told melta weapons aren't allowed to roll 2 dice at half range against superheavy walkers. Not having the book myself I ended up going with that. Still killed the Knight but it took a lot of shooting. Is that rule in the main book or is it from a supplement, or is it a piece of wargear or something?

There is no such rule.

Yeah, he lied to you.

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.

Well, that was quick! Thanks!

As I mentioned, I did manage to get it in the end. But if I'd used melta properly I think I could have killed it sooner and freed up some shooting for other targets.

It's an old rule that is no longer used. I believe it was in apocalypse. It used to state that lance, melta, armorbane and haywire didn't gain their extra d6 and haywire only glanced on 6s.

Some superheavies have the "Ceramite Plating" rule, but that is another story

It's like you take a Space Marine and say "what could make him cooler?" Instead of adding more super-genetic-psycho-organic modification, you take it all away. You have a regular human left in power armor and all the armies of hell at the gates. And she doesn't even flinch. Pure. Badass.
