Mainly speaking about lords of war here, but also happy to hwar others' opinions as well.

Lords of war are fine, i play with my Stompa, and its neither over powered nor under powered. D weapons have been nerfed, and the majority of people i encounter in pickup games are happy to play against it.

The only people that complain seem to be that occasional person who's still living in third edition, and can't adapt to what the games become. Folks, this is seventh, lords of war have been put into the normal games rulebook. The stompa is IN the ork codex. We should be adapting and countering, not complaining.

Well, it's good your title isn't even a little dismissive of other viewpoints or anything.... If you were looking for a rational discussion, you might have chosen rather less confrontational language.

I have zero interest in playing 7e 40k, in large part because things like the Stompa (with its theoretical infinite hull points) or Knights (Str D is still awfully brutal on, say, Tyranid Monstrous Creatures). But it's not because I'm "still living in third edition." It's not even that I "can't adapt to what the games (sic) become." It's that the play-style created by the inclusion of such units is far less interesting to me.

Why are you placing labels on people without any proof?

From what I see it's a lot of people who are from 5th edition or like 5th edition best. So why are you saying people can't get away from 3rd edition?

Exactly the same way as i feel about people that cant accept that i may not want to play against a 4 inch tall mini mega gargantuan monsterius creature that has TWO fricking hellstorm templates that are D strength, that is T9 and nearly immune to poison so that unless i completely tailor my list (which isnt adapting just tailoring) is impossible to deal with and is bad as clubing seals.
