I did this a little bit ago as a part of a painting competition at the local GW.
It was a fairly clear cut winner apparently but fun to do all the same, and not bad for my FIRST painting competition.
I was quite proud how it came out but I only had 3 days in which to get it done so there are 'two' in particular dodgey
joins. Namely the wrist holding the blade and half way through the rifle. This was mostly un-fixed properly due to
time constraint and juggling the whole thing around work.

So here it is.

It's not 'amazing' compared to a lot of professionals but I'm still learning however feel free to drop a vote at
http://www.coolminiornot.com/359978?browseid=9705092 and let me know what you think!

Looks fantastic! I love the contrast between the red torso and standard orange armor. It really makes the model pop. Your weathering looks very realistic, as well.

If this is just a sample of what you can do, I can't wait to see more!

More or less yes...Great, we've gone from cheap resin substitutes to weapons banned by the geneva convention...

Love the base. Never could do bases very well but that one looks incredible. The Fireblade itself looks very well done even if not quite professional. The red pieces really go well with the standard sand/orange.

Squee, Thanks for the awesome feedback!
I went with the red because that chest piece he has on doesn't look like standard fire warrior armor, but at the same time didn't really look anything like stealth gear and so on. So I decided to go with a nice red to try and
have him stand out a little, considering he's an important guy it seemed to make sense!

That base was actually my first ever attempt at making my own base and I only had about half a day to do it in by the time the hand in point came around. I literally had to scrap the origional idea's for it simply because I had so little time that
the water effects I had originally planned on using just weren't going to dry in time.
