Ok. I have brought this up before to a few friends and they don't seem to see this the way I do.
Grey knight interceptor packs read. " units with the personal teleporters are jump infantry." Everything in the text reads unit. So my argument is that if I put a grand master in my interceptor squad he becomes jump infantry because it is a war gear upgrade. So what do you guys think?

No, if you did that, then the squad would have to move the speed of its slowest member, the GM

Actually, the 'move at the speed of the slowest member' hasn't been a rule since 5th edition. You are however required to keep coherency.

Why would the squad have to move the speed of its slowest member?

They can move up to 12 inches while he moves up to 6 inches and if they stay in coherency they are still one unit.

Charge moves have to be made at the speed of the slowest model though.

if one member of the UNIT is not equipped with the teleporter, then that unit is not equipeed with teleporters, it is only partially equipped.

either way, you are incorrect, no free teleporter for your GM, though I too sorely wish/think it should be an option for at least one HQ as its areally cool mechanic and we have jump pack HQ's flying HQ's so its not OP.

but 100% you are wrong to the original poster, you cannot do what you are trying to do by RAW or RAI

Jump Infantry are a bit different from the normal rules when you stick a character in there.

The ENTIRE unit must use the same type of Movement. So if one member isn't Jump Infantry, the whole unit cannot use their Jump Movement.

It's not just a case of remaining in Coherency as you would with other squads.

Figured it would be a big no, but had to check because it said a "unit with" and the hq is in the unit WAR can be argued but I don't think anyone would go for it
