#1.) Morkanaut w KFF: is there a bubble extending 6" out from this guy? Or is it just him that gets the save?

#2.) HWYPI? I hate the looks of that stupid dorkanaut. Do you think most TOs would allow the FW mekadred to count as the dorkanaut.

the morkanaut is the bearer of the KFF so it extends from the morkanaut.

2nd question?

The Mekadread uses no base, unlike the Morkanaut, and is considerably less bulky. It will be easier to get cover and will provide less cover for other models. The KFF will be less protective since it extends out from a smaller area (the hull) instead of the Morkanaut's large base.

If you based it on a Morkanaut sized base it might look odd (mine looks great on a flier base), but it might alleviate some concerns about the size of the model. However, it will still be a lot easier to get cover with it and deny the opponent line of sight. I would be fine with it myself, but I think a lot of people in tournaments would have a concern since the model is so different in size, and it might be greatly to your advantage in any given game.

Seems close to me...

I don't think you will have a problem, but if a TO does have a problem with it, he won't care what I think.

I suggest putting it on the appropriate sized base.

Maybe mag the base? My idea is to use about 6 un based Boyz or megas and fashion a netting made out of hobby chain so it be like a bunch of Orks in a net (willy nilly) forced to be carried into battle like a suburban baby. Hooks or pegs on the thing's shoulders and groin for conversion back to mega. Was hoping "rule of cool" could keep me from having to buy that awful model.

And if someone has a problem with it I'll tell 'em Coredump said it was OK.

Dude, if you make a cool conversion like that, not only can you use my name, I will write you a note saying its okay, and you can print it out and carry it with you. ('cuz i'm cool like dat....)
