Can Eldar units use the Dark Eldar Web way portal?

If no, where in the rules does it say this?

Thanks

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

The rules will not tell you when you can not do something.

The rules will tell you if you are allowed to do something though, so are Eldar allowed through the WWP?

the last edition faq disallowed it, it has since been removed from the FAQ. They removed the question all together not just the answer however.

So there is no rule disallowing it.

From then on, any of your units may move onto the battlefield from the portal markers edge..

if the eldar are one of your units, yes.

vehicles of course are excluded.

tbh I think most TOs will rule that the eldar can't.

and honestly I would agree with them.

Does the WWP say "Dark Eldar Units"?
I don't have the codex near me.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

Dark eldar codex is far out of date and thus you cannot expect it to work well with 7th edition.

It pobably doesnt work, since its a Faction: Dark Eldar piece of gear, however eldar and dark eldar being battle brothers means that if you were to consider the portal akin to embarking and disembarking a vehicle they could both use it.

I agree with the above poster, and the reason I said I think TOs will rule against you doing it, is because Battle Brothers cannot start embarked on the other factions transports.

That and the dropping of the question from the faq doesn't mean the answer it the opposite of how it was ruled before. If that were the case they would have left the question in and reversed the answer.

Emphasis mine.
A faction can start embarked upon a Battle Brother's transport.

If I sound like I'm being a condescending butthole, I'm not. Read my reply as neutrally as possible, please and thank you.

WWP is also not a transport.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

I stand corrected, my group has played this way so long I didn't even think about it when the new edition came.

Didn't almost every single Dark Eldar question get carried over from the previous FAQs EXCEPT for this one?

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

The exact wording from the DE codex is "From then on, any of your units arriving from reserve may move onto the board from the portal marker's edge instead of entering as normal", and further goes on to say that it doesn't matter what kind of reserve they were in (deep strike, outflank or regular reserve).

"Any of your units" seems very permissive of me - I don't see why you couldn't use it even with non-battle brothers (they may technically not be friendly units to Dark Eldar, but they are still your units).
