Can i use him in my army, i just bought a bunch of stuff from FW and he was one of the things i ordered (on its way), and yet i have no idea on how it will work in my GK / Inquisition army.
i just ordered,
1- LR
1-LR crusader/deemer
1-box of GK termmies
1-SM ven dread
1-IG valkyrie
1-FW Chaplin ven dread
1-inquisition LR doors set
1-GK LR doors set
1-GK LR tank commander
to add to my existing 10 man GK army (non termmies)
so my question to you guys is, how can i use the chap dread...can he be played as a chap dread or am i going to be limited to using him as just a ven dread model.
something else i wanted to ask you guys is, someone i talked to awhile back got me hooked on the idea of having a inquisitorial valkyrie, now i have one on the way, but can i use it as a dedicated transport or how does that work, and how many people can fit inside with an inquisitor, also i wanted to know if solomon lok or lord hector rex a decent choice ? or should i just stick with draigo or should i find a way to model mordrak for use of his bad@ss ghost knights.
sorry for alll the questions iv just been trying to get back into the hobby and find myself without anyyyone to talk to about any of my questions, and the local GW (toronto) sucks, they are kind of rude in there so i hate going in (as to why im ordering my stuff)
anyways any and allll help is wellcome.
1 last thing, if anyone has photos of there inquisitorial valkyrie, inquiz landraider or FW chap ven dread id love to see them for painting ideas.
Cheers
-izzy

The Chaplin mc dread is in Imperial armor APoc 2 IIRC
Inquisitorial valks are in Codex INQ from BL or the new book that just came out with Lok as a Dedicated Transport which is in the main rule book.

It appears what you will want is
7th Edition Rule book
Codex: GK
Chaplin Dread is in Imperial Armor : apocalypses 2
Inquisitorial Valkery is in Imperial Armor Vol 4 second edition but requires Lok and some special unit of his otherwise Codex: Inquisition on black library

You can paint the dread however you want. I would paint it mostly black (like a power armored Chaplain) with some chapter colors and logos mixed in here and there.
You could even use it as a chaplain dread in one game and a Venerable Dread in another game, and most people wouldn't mind.

Dunno about canadian money but it will cost a pretty penny to get up and going
80ish for 7th
40 for GK
30 for Inquisition + a device to access it
and 40ish for each FW book
in US$
The dread can be painted how you please.

how many points is a game usually ?
and what should i be looking for when buying HQ's(is this the guys that run my whole force ?)
i have been reading about inquisitors/hector rex/solomon lok/dragio/mordrak are any of these people good to have, or is there better, also i cant seem to find a model for mordrak yet i love the idea of using ghost knights !!! plus they would be sweet to fabricate out of termmies and paint aswell.!

1500 is a good point and is decent for pick up games but it depends on your local store.
The HQ and the rest of the army depends on your play style and your choice of ascetics.
do you want competitive or something that looks cool or both?
Id suggest going to the Gee Dubs and taking a look at the GK book.

if you were to point me in a hq direction which way would you point me.
i want good looking models but practical......but seeing as i bought myself a valkyrie i think i should buy solomon lok....and give him a group of DCA's to go mess stuff up.
fly him around and drop him and the DCA's right in the middle of all my opponents models would be pretty funny.
*Edit*
unless i can take the chap ven dread as an HQ choice.!!

Oh bad news
The dread is an elite for SM, DA, and BT only :(
So you will probably be stuck running him as a counts as venerable dread from C:GK (though that saves money from one book)
an Inquisitor is a decent overall HQ but i think Lok would be fun.
Problem with the Valk and DCA is that it is not an Assault Vehicle so you would be stuck hanging out of the vehicle for a turn before you can charge (which is bad)
Id suggest a henchmen squad with some special weapons to pop something in shooting.
I belive mord has no model so you can convert that up for fun too and i hear is a decent HQ.
Draigo is overdone so i just dont like him.

cool thats good, saving money is always a good thing, and ikr draigo is everywhere i turn i feel. and im cool with the chap ven dread being a plain ven dread. it will be pretty cool looking thats forsure,
now, i think im going to buy lok for the sake of him being cheap, money wise and points, but also i think im going to model my own mordrak and have a detachment of ghostknights.how many GK termmies will i need to buy for him ???
but, i just remembered about inquisitor karamazov, isnt he like all supreme or something because he can use orbital strikes and such, would that be useful ?
also, any info on lord hector rex, is he worth picking up ?

Karamazov is kinda meh but fun. (can target friendlys with orbital bombardments lolol)
Mordrak takes 5 terminators

mordrak takes 5, does he max out at 5 aswell ? or can he have lets say 10 in total, and targets friendless, damn, so could you like waltz up a few DCA's and then he they fail just blops the field where they were, or is there a way to make his orbital bombardments work well for your army ?

Mordrak opens up 1 unit of 1-5 ghost knights
that is max
DCA are reaeeaaaaaeaseaseaeallly fragile.
at T3 and only a weak invul save they will change into dead bodies in no time.
Karamazov can just target the enemy too so thats a non issue.

so mordrak and his ghost buddys are a solid choice, but i need some friends to ride in the valkyrie, any suggestions ?
and im asuming mr throne of judgement is to big.
but does he need line of sight to drop his orbital shots ?
and is there any good use for DCA's ?
