I just found out that Ghostbusters is going to be re-released in theaters for one week at the end of August to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film's original release.

I am so freaking excited about this. I was two when the film first came out and didn't get a chance to see it in the theater (had to settle for part 2 years later...) and I missed the re-release back in 2011, but this one I am going to hit up.

Anyone else excited for some proper ghost bustin'?

A newly cut trailer might get you in the mood:

I'm jelly. Sometimes I wish I had been born 5-10 years earlier so I could have experienced more of the early 80's. Feels stupid typing that, but there were just so many cool toys and movies that came out in the first half of that decade.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

We had a throwback thing last year, where there was a classic movie at my local IMAX every week; so I actually saw it fairly recently. The movie holds up quite well - much better than, say, The Thing - and as an unexpected bonus, you can see one of Sigourney Weaver's boobs for a second, something I missed in every previous viewing.

Well, it's a great movie and you should go re-see it if you haven't recently, and definitely, absolutely in the highly unlikely event you haven't seen it at all.
